Thanks to the State Legislature’s action following the Callais ruling and SCOTUS quickly applying the hand of justice, Alabama is poised to elect its Congressional Representation using a map drawn for Alabamians by Alabamians.
Full statement below:
“For over four years, the state of Alabama has been subject to lawsuit after lawsuit aimed at handing the Democrat Party undeserved seats in Congress. This effort was fueled largely by Barack Obama, Eric Holder, and a slew of organizations whose guiding values are firmly rejected by Alabamians. Despite this, they eventually found a friendly audience with a panel of federal judges who saw no issue in using their power to strip Alabama of its constitutional right to draw congressional maps and eventually issue an injunction that clearly violated new precedent set forth by the Supreme Court of the United States.
From the initial lawsuits to last month's Special Session and the court actions that followed, this has been a long fight—but one well worth fighting.”
