Ten years ago, 49 innocent people were murdered by a hateful bigot at Pulse Nightclub. My heart is with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire LGBTQ community.
This tragedy should never have happened, and those people should still be here today. And dangerous rhetoric and extremist attacks continue to fuel hatred, violence, and discrimination against LGBTQ Americans.
We must confront hate wherever we see it and continue the fight to end gun violence.
10 years ago today, 49 lives were stolen in an act of senseless violence at
#Pulse Nightclub.
As we remember the victims, many of whom were LGBTQI and Latine, we must all recommit to ending the epidemic of extremist violence so that all people may be free to live without fear.
