Jamie Lee Weigel almost starved her infant to death. But under @GovEvers COVID plan, prisoners like her will be eligible for a vaccine before a 35 yr old breast cancer survivor from Wausau. What is Gov. Evers thinking? wkow.com/2020/02/14/belmont-…

Juan Maravilla is in WI prison because of abuse to a one yr old that the judge called "torture," but under @GovEvers vaccine plan, he'll qualify for a vaccine before a 50-yr-old cancer survivor from Green Bay. That's immoral. greenbaypressgazette.com/sto…

Christopher Kaphaem was convicted of abusing 9 infants in a Madison hospital’s newborn intensive care unit, but @GovEvers thinks he deserves a COVID vaccine before a 60-year-old grandmother with diabetes. That's absurd. madison.com/wsj/news/local/c…

Demetrius Williams admitted to murdering his ex-girlfriend's 3-yr-old and attempting to murder her. Under @GovEvers vaccine plan, prisoners like Williams will have access to a vaccine before most mothers in Wisconsin. That's just wrong. weau.com/2021/01/27/appleton…

$500M debunked in 2018. Mead Hunt sourced from 1 non-comparable site in MN. State would SAVE $100M w/ new prison $50M more for a REIT version. Summary: Ancient prisons are money pits w/ higher staff assaults and higher recidivism rates.
A single new 1,200-bed maximum security prison will cost Wisconsin approximately $500 million. badgerinstitute.org/News/201…

Senate Bill 295, which I’ve authored with @RepSteffen to provide state Harbor Assistance Program funding to support the planning and relocation of Green Bay's coal piles, was heard in a Senate committee and was recommended for passage by an Assembly committee this week.

Yesterday, the Joint Committee on Finance passed @SenRobCowles and my budget motion which funds the first phase of replacing GBCI. The $5 million approved yesterday, now gives us a clear path and timeline for a safer, more cost-effective solution to this problem.

.@afpwi The Assembly is scheduled to break down barriers reformed individuals face through expungement reform today. We're all better off if these folks can contribute to society through gainful employment and reach their full potential. @repsteffen @RepGoyke @SenDarling

I was very happy to be a part of the @MActionProject Red & Blue Dialogue with @StaushG and @MayorGenrich. There was a lot of positive bipartisan conversation around improving water quality in our state.
