Council Member @chadseidel sat down with @thewaterloop to discuss @EPA's first data release for 29 #PFAS. While these are only the first samples of data, EPA should consider how these data impact their proposed national drinking water regulations for PFAS and adjust accordingly.

"For cooling, low-income households consume less electricity for a shorter period than high-income households.
For heating, low-income households consume less electricity for a longer period than high-income households."
New paper by @DestenieNock & team shows hidden energy poverty. Low income groups turn on heating systems 6-7 F earlier than high income groups. Lack of insulation puts these homes at risk of cold illness AND financial strain.

"We demonstrate the approach in Wake County, NC, which has 73,347 septic systems located within supply watersheds.
The predictive modeling identified 102 systems with 99.9% probability of failure."
