Watch this. All fine. Until you remember her attitude to others seeking the same opportunities. This is why I can never be a Tory. It is a creed rooted in the deepest, almost unimaginable selfishness.

Please read this testimony from ICU Prof ⁦@Kevin_Fong⁩ at the @covidinquiryuk⁩ & know that this - this - is what it was truly like. All those despicable Covid deniers, anti-vaxxers & scamdemic artists have blood on their hands & should hang their sorry heads in shame.

This is such powerful testimony to the horrors the NHS faced when dealing with Covid. As @RoryStewartUK and I discussed on @RestIsPolitics it seems strange how little coverage the Covid inquiry is getting these days but surely this will. @JimDown8 book and his accounts at the time echo so strongly
Prof @Kevin_Fong giving the most devastating and moving testimony to the Covid Inquiry of visiting hospital intensive care units at the height of the second wave in late Dec 2020. The unimaginable scale of death, the trauma, the loss of hope. Please watch this 2min clip.

What if I told you we could slash £200 off every household's energy bill? Right now, the companies that own the pipes and pylons - most of them foreign-owned - are raking in 40% profit margins, while energy retailers are capped at 1.5%. It's modern-day robbery...

"Pensioner sued for not paying water bills to polluting firm in sea sewage protest Chris Stanley, 81, is refusing to pay Southern Water after the company was fined a record £90m for dumping sewage." And there it is. The paradox, the insanity and obscenity of the sewage scandal. Water company fat cat bosses can dump billions of litres of sewage for millions of hours into the environment with impunity while a pensioner refuses to pay part of his bill and... #FloodTheStreets inews.co.uk/news/pensioner-s…

Hang a banner from a motorway gantry and you are going to jail. Dump billions of litres of sewage into the environment for millions of hours and nothing. And no matter what anybody says that is not going to change. Justice? 👇
Both of the actions you see in these photos potentially amount to the offence of ‘public nuisance’. One is punishable with “long, long prison sentences” & the other is rewarded with huge bonuses & billions in profits. Why the disparity? What does this mean for the rule of law?

From St Austell in Cornwall to the Thames Estuary by my reckoning there are currently 87 different locations where sewage is being dumped on beaches and into the sea. So how's you're bank holiday weekend going?

Yes, you read that correctly. @Thameswater has been dumping sewage into the River Misbourne, a chalk stream, for 5,000 hours so far this year. And there's still five and a half months of 2024 left.
Heading towards 5000 hours of discharge for 2024 alone. This EDM was only been operational since late 2023 and has almost been discharging 100% of the time since commissioning. @thameswater
