It’s not that I don’t enjoy a good party, I’m just experienced enough to know that joining a party isn’t as important as joining the right team. How about I join a PARTY when there’s actually something to PARTY about? For 13 years, I was an NBA player and captain for both the Celtics and the Lakers, two of the most iconic sports brands in the world. During that time, I played on losing teams that loved to party, and on championship teams that delivered results, giving everyone a real reason to celebrate. When I entered the league in 1991, the Celtics drafted me out of college. I had no choice. Six years later, Jerry West recruited me as a free agent to the Lakers. That’s when I made the choice to join a winning organization. It wasn’t easy I had to turn down $33M to chase championships, playing instead for $1M with a great coach and Hall of Fame teammates. My sacrifice paid off. We won three NBA Championships. Guess who got to party then! I’ve spent my life identifying championship teams and players. I know what works. I know what doesn’t. So when I’m told to “join a party,” I hear: Join a color. Make promises. Deliver the same old results. But when I think about joining a team, I ask myself: Who are the players? What’s the goal? Can we deliver results and win together? Because if you want championship results in any arena of life you don’t start with a party. You start by finding the right team and the right teammates. Word on the street is: “Rick, don’t join The PFLNPM Party — the ‘Please F’in Let’s Now Pretend, Man’ Party.” They say both these parties starting to look the same. Who is THEY, you ask? The MoU initiates a collaboration aimed at introducing carbon-negative cement technologies in the UAE. The MoU emphasises a joint intention to assess and plan for the establishment of facilities in Abu Dhabi to locally produce Partanna’s next-generation cement alternatives. Both parties will strategize for the establishment of a brine conversion facility, a tolling facility, and a cement production plant, enabling the commercialization of Partanna’s products in the UAE. Partanna’s carbon negative building materials, made without traditional Portland cement, not only eliminate carbon emissions but actively remove CO₂ from the atmosphere, offering a pioneering approach to sustainable construction. Traditional Portland cement is responsible for 9% of global CO₂ emissions. As part of this collaboration, both parties will work together on certification processes, performance testing, and alignment within regulatory frameworks.
