Cursor gets it. @benln emailed me personally for their first Bangkok event and has reached out for every event since. @mntruell reached out when I was exploring other tools. They wanted me in the room. Meanwhile @Figma put me on a waiting list for their own event at the agency I used to work at after I spent years championing their product and paying $40k/year for it. I was the one who set up Figma for the entire product and marketing department at my current company. They couldn’t even recognize the people actively using and building on their product. Hope Dylan @zoink is taking notes. I have nothing against Figma it’s still a great product but I stopped advocating for it. That’s what happens when you ignore the people who champion you. This is exactly the gap @jessethanley is talking about.

Let's agree to disagree! If every agent runs on the same "great templates", you just get faster homogenization. A brand book makes you competent, not memorable. The real value is having something worth systematizing in the first place

Nothing against Jony Mac, and I can see where he's coming from, but if you think AI doing this makes learning design useless, you might not fully understand design in the first place. AI doesn't remove judgment. It removes the excuse not to use yours. Anyone can prompt. Very few can direct the outcome. Craft is still the differentiator, it's just no longer the commodity. The commodity is now the generation. The craft is in knowing what to do with it.
