The debate is not about AI. The debate is about whether regular people should be allowed to make art without permission.

If all those people could snap their fingers and be a celebrity’s relative with a fully funded feature based on a concept stolen from the internet I bet they would too. We create what we see with the tools we have available.

1. Hickman 2. Jenkins 3. Ellis 4. Moore Moore loses points for cantankerousness. I’d put Waid up there if he didn’t actively stand up during screenings to argue with comic book movies.
My Mt. Rushmore of the greatest comic book writers (writers only not artist combos otherwise FM would be here) of all time! Who'd I forget? A. Stan Lee B. Grant Morrison C. Alan Moore D. Mark Millar

This is Zach Cregger’s approach to first drafts as a screenwriter. It’s called “elfing”. He’s right. ✍🏼

Missed opportunity to have it tattooed on the whale itself.
I mean, yeah, I'm in, but can we also talk about the way they stuck in the 20th Century logo? Love that shit.

Maybe it's time we boycott @LEGO_Group. Once they see the numbers dropping they'll be more inclined to get involved. Time for #Bam to go away!

When I was 15 on ship to shore during third season one of the main producers took me aside and said they’d had complaints that I had been swearing too much. I’d been on that set for three years listening to crew swear constantly. When it didn’t renew I assumed it was my fault. 🤦

Crypto enables this, smart contracts to manage and distribute agreed upfront portion of residuals in perpetuity locked in a trustless network that no one owns or can overrule. NFTs can handle distribution and licensing free of any studio or middleman.

One of the big realisations I’ve had as I reached my forties with a handful of unsuccessful produced IPs and all the good powder just drying in the chamber is that everyone else has a big warchest of banger content ready to go because they also wanted to break in at 18 and didn’t

Wise words from Nvidia's Jensen Huang back in 2003. "I don’t need to build a killer product overnight, I just need to build a winning product. It’s like pinball. if you can just play well enough to get another game, you can be there for a long time."

There’s even a ⁦@LukeBarnett⁩ role in my new comic if you can believe that. By the time this thing becomes a one season Netflix show they won’t even need to age him up.

When people told me they dreamed of writing a book I would ask “then why haven’t you?” Writing is accessible to nearly anyone for free so you don’t need Ai to write the great American novel. But when animators said they wanted to tell stories I knew the labor was generally too costly and not accessible to most of them. Ai will make animation as accessible as writing a book. When a tool opens up storytelling options to us it helps creation. Anything that removes excuses is a pretty good thing. Ai will help the best story win, not the people with the most connections, money or luck.

How about it @Marvel or DC #omniverse pitch they’re all in a band together but they’re maniacs who go world to world trying to establish cults of personality. They also all have thin girlfriends, it’s weird but no one brings it up.

How detailed is your art? Ehhh fairly detailed.
How detailed is your art? It's unnecessary and I dont know why I did it.

This is what the ai-haters don't understand. You get these images, stories, and things stuck in your head for decades. I wanted to write comic books for a living, but you end up having a family support and can't keep pursing that life path. Pick up a pencil? I held that pencil until everyone around me begged me to put it down. I'd given up hope that I would ever get to see these ideas realized. I don't need to make money from them. I don't need a huge audience. But getting to see these puzzles figured out, helps you understand why they have been stuck in your head for so long. Finishing these stories helps you figure out WHO YOU ARE.

Thanks so much. You know what's crazy? I've had this idea for something like 15 years. I've always wanted to make this. I don't know why.
