Alberta officially welcomed CGC Inc. as it opened its new state-of-the-art wallboard manufacturing plant in Wheatland County. This $210 million investment will create jobs, strengthen Alberta's manufacturing sector, and generate opportunities for decades to come. Congratulations to CGC Inc. and its parent company, USG on this historic milestone. Thank you for the confidence you've placed in Alberta. We look forward to your continued success in the years ahead.

Very excited to announce I’m joining the Alberta NDP Caucus as Director of Communications. These are pivotal times for the province I was born & raised in, and Albertans deserve a good, honest, pro-Canada government.

Alberta recently welcomed a major investment that brings innovation to energy production. The Meadowbrook Carbon Storage Hub is the first of its kind in Canada, which so far has brought $17 million of private investment, with plans to expand to an estimated $150 million. Congratulations to Bison Low Carbon Ventures and all those involved in bringing this project to life. Learn more: alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=9…

For the Churchill boosters: here’s Russia, with the world’s most powerful icebreaker fleet and the only ice strengthened LNG carrier fleet in the world, having to wait until June to transport LNG to Asia through the Northern Sea Route
🔴Wow! 🎯Northern Sea Route opened early. 🔵Sanctioned LNG carrier Christophe de Margerie is carrying sanctioned Russian LNG, very likely heading to China. ⚫️Named after French Total CEO Christophe de Margerie, who died in a Moscow plane crash in 2014 after helping build Russia’s LNG sector. Excellent article by @dkennedyglans on what the October referendum is really about at its core. The eastern media and a few virtue signalling Premiers ought to take a careful read and adjust their counterproductive messaging. nationalpost.com/opinion/don…

Today, I was proud to convene the inaugural meeting of Alberta’s Premier’s Investment Council. This group brings together some of the top leaders from government, finance, energy, technology, Indigenous investment, agriculture, tourism, and economic development to help Alberta compete for the next generation of major global investment. The goal is simple: move faster, work smarter, remove barriers, and make sure Alberta remains the best place in North America to invest, build, create jobs, and grow a business. From AI and aerospace to energy and defence, Alberta is competing for billions in new investment and this council will help ensure we seize those opportunities for future generations.

TMX has not even been in service for two years and it is already operating at nearly full capacity. The world is desperate for more of our oil. Alberta is one of the most secure, safe and reliable energy partners in the world. But we cannot let anymore opportunities pass us by. It’s time to get to work and build new pipelines east, west, north, and south to supply American, European and Asian markets with the energy they want and need. Thank you to the leadership of Hanwha Group @Hanwha_Official for their partnership and confidence in Alberta. Today’s signing marks an important step forward in strengthening our relationship with South Korea and creating new opportunities in energy, defence, manufacturing, and supply chains. Being the first province Hanwha has signed an agreement with is a strong vote of confidence in Alberta. This is how we attract investment, create jobs, and grow our economy.

Yesterday, the White House approved the advancement of multiple pipeline projects carrying Alberta oil to the United States. Expanding pipeline capacity to the U.S. is something I’ve been advocating from this U.S. Administration since their last election. It has paid off! This is great news for Alberta and Canada. It has the potential to unlock hundreds of billions in energy investment for our province and country. We hope the federal government moves this fast when it comes to our pipeline project submission in June. Let’s get these pipelines built! The Alberta-Canada MOU isn’t just about a pipeline. It’s about whether western Canada’s cheap and abundant natural gas is going to be allowed to attract tens of billions in AI and electricity investment and ensure Canada’s data sovereignty. Or not. thelogic.co/news/the-big-rea…

Can politicians grow the economy? I’m skeptical, but governments can create the conditions for growth. So, what have we done? We lowered personal income taxes down to 8%, saving families an extra $1,500 per year allowing families to keep more of what they earn. 💰 We secured a landmark energy MOU with Ottawa setting the conditions for new pipelines. 🛢️ We have also provided more certainty to ratepayers in our electricity market so to shield them from spiking prices. 💡 Our agri-processing investment tax credit is helping our farmers and ranchers get more Alberta products to market. 🌾 We brought down your rent by helping the private sector build new homes, faster. 🏠 A growing economy means we can strengthen our core services like healthcare and education, seniors care, and infrastructure. 👨‍⚕️ On top of this, Alberta is up 85,000 jobs over the past year. ⬆️ And we’re just starting.

NEW: Bridger Pipeline’s proposed project for a new Canada-U.S. crude oil pipeline could transport more than one million barrels per day. At a time of global uncertainty, it’s clear that Alberta is the answer to North America’s and the world’s energy needs. That’s why we must build new pipelines east, west, north and south to strengthen Canada’s economy, establish North American energy dominance, and position ourselves as the world’s safest, most secure and reliable energy partner.
