I finally caved to the hype. Here's my attempt at #vibecoding with *zero* manual coding.
I gave myself 30 minutes to build a 3D RPG with #threejs using Cursor Claude 3.7-sonnet.
I'm honestly impressed with what it was able to generate:
- Infinite terrain generation/chunking
- Trees, rocks and bushes
- NPC manager
- Skeletons and goblins
- Health bars
- Combat mechanics (this is where it broke down)
It only ended up failing because Cursor got confused about which files to update and I ran out of time. The code it was generating still looked solid, so I'm guessing I was hitting the limits of the context window.
Had so much fun working on this!
We used:
- TSL ( for webgl & webgpu supportโจ)
- batch mesh LoD for decor & items
- Fake physics ๐
- custom decor editor ๐งโ๐จ
- custom level editor โ๏ธ
- node js backend with leaderboard and custom anti cheat, fighted hard with hacker on this ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
- vuejs
Such a crazy project, looking forward to make more engaging game like this one this year !
Last Christmas I had the chance to make a mobile game in #WebGPU using #Threejs with the amazing @makio64 and @SwipeBack team for McDonald's ๐๐ There's no link to try it unfortunately so I recorded a video. All the team really worked hard for this Congratulations everyone! ๐๐ฅ
