Is Telangana’s Health Care at the brink of collapse? A must read & share. I had first-hand experience of how Telangana’s government healthcare system functions during a real medical emergency yesterday. When my family member suffered a sudden stroke, I immediately called the 108 Emergency Ambulance Service. It took nearly 40 minutes for the ambulance to reach us in the Malkajgiri area, despite multiple calls to explain the location. The driver eventually had to be guided via WhatsApp location pin because he couldn’t find the place. Even after arriving, the driver was unwilling to wait even five minutes to help shift the stroke-affected senior citizen. We somehow managed to rush her to the nearest District Medical Hospital in Malkajgiri (just 4–5 km away). The doctor there checked her vitals, took a brief history, and immediately referred her to Gandhi Hospital, saying they couldn’t treat her there. The same 108 ambulance driver, who was still waiting for my signature, refused to take us to Gandhi. He insisted I call 108 again so the system could formally allocate the vehicle. I called the helpline, explained the emergency, and even had the hospital nurse speak to them. The customer care responded that they were sending an ambulance and put me on conference call with a vehicle near Uppal nearly one hour away. When I asked why they couldn’t simply use the ambulance already present at the hospital, I was told, “It doesn’t work that way. The system allocates.” After waiting for over an hour, the second 108 ambulance finally arrived to shift the patient (who had a mild brain stroke with high BP and sugar levels) to Gandhi Hospital. At Gandhi Hospital’s Emergency Ward entrance, two private ambulances were already waiting to unload patients. I overheard security staff saying, “Beds anni full unnai kada… ekkada pedataru vellani?” (All beds are full, where will we keep them?), only to be immediately hushed by another staff member. When I asked if beds were available, they told me to check for myself. The Emergency Ward was completely overcrowded — not a single bed was free — yet somehow space was made for my patient. We were then asked to get an OP card from a counter a few metres away, which was issued quickly. The ward was in total chaos. Doctors were handling 4–5 critical patients at a time with no time to even drink water. The entire overcrowded emergency ward had zero air conditioning. The doctor we finally met was polite and asked for a CT Brain scan. Getting the requisition form itself involved manual paperwork and stamps. There were no stretchers or wheelchairs available. When I requested one, the nurse said all were in use and suggested checking the storeroom. Luckily, I managed to get one from a helper. (Normally, patients have to deposit their mobile phone as security for the stretcher, but the nurse kindly allowed me to return it later.) We waited another 30 minutes at Room 131 for the CT scan. This entire ordeal highlighted the serious gaps in our emergency medical response system. @GVKEMRIOnline @revanth_anumula @TelanganaCMO @TelanganaHealth

4(1)(b) RTI Act proactive disclosure is an statutory obligation on public authorities. It has to be on public domain/website. I'm surprised that @HMRLHydmetro is rejecting this citing 8(1)(j) which is completely malafide and wrongful denial. @pvsrinivasRTI @ayodhya_boreddy This is gross violation. Kindly take a note and issue notices to ensure compliance.

Dear lordships, - 100 RTI users have been killed for exposing corruption & thousands attacked and harassed- SC is silent. - The Whistleblowers Protection Act passed in 2014 not implemented till date- SC is silent. But every few days the SC berates RTI activists and calls them names- cockroaches, busy bodies, and today the Court is asking who are citizens to monitor public works! Perhaps your lordships need to be reminded that in a democracy citizens are sovereign and tax payers have a right to know how their money is spent. Courts should deal with individual cases on merit without passing derogatory remarks about those who hold power to account.
The Supreme Court today(May 15) denied anticipatory bail to an RTI activist accused of obstructing a public servant in connection with the construction of a road. Read more: zurl.co/bGz7E #SupremeCourt

Its that time of the year when headlines are recycled #monsoonpreparedness #Hyderabadrains #Hyderabadtraffic #Hyderabadfloods .. Authorities are warned of strict action if they fail to do their job.. or at least if they don’t appear to.. once a year.. soon officials will start posting pics of work being taken up on war footing!! Sic.. This overflowing sewage manhole in the below video (from this morning) along with a few others (a few hundred meters away from @cgg_hyd) was brought to the notice of @HMWSSBOnline @hmwssbed last month.. and it still flows.. into our STORM WATER DRAINS… and will most likely flow post monsoons also.. as it has been for years now. The problem is not a few manholes.. it’s the entire sewage network and has been polluting our nalas/lakes/rivers for decades.. and will take years to fix… and the “fixing” of sewage entering stormwater drains HASN’T STARTED YET!! 1000’s of crores already spent on setting up SRTP’s on sewage lines (by past Govts) while our stormwater drains transport sewage… but.. that too isn’t the big problem.. The most likely bigger problem coming up is drinking water and #Hyderabad is spending to bring in Godavari waters out of which 2.5 TMC will be used to flush this mess out.. while leaving twin reservoir waters untouched for drinking purposes.. #GO111.. Meanwhile citizens are made to believe something positive is brewing.. whereas downstream river contamination tells a different story..

One of the biggest joke is there are no EV buses available for Malkajgiri. @TGRTCHQ What awareness are you trying to spread sir? @MCMalkajgiri
🚍⚡ Day 91 of #PrajaPalanaPragathiPranalika focuses on a greener, smarter, and more sustainable future. By choosing public transport and embracing electric vehicles, we can reduce traffic congestion, cut pollution, save fuel, and build cleaner cities for generations to come. Every ride matters. Finally, good to see two EV buses now operating in Malkajgiri constituency after highlighting the lack of electric buses in this highly neglected region. @TGSRTCHQ All diesel buses in Hyderabad should be replaced with EVs immediately!

Year after year, we keep hearing about the same tragic incidents! Why is there no maintenance being carried out on the electric poles in the city? @tgspdcl @TelanganaCMO How many more lives must be lost before the Govt wakes up?

Recharging ground water will help native trees grow.. native trees grow.. over night temperatures will reduce.. monsoons will be on time.. winters will be back… remember everything starts with rainwater.. harvest now.
12,000 borewells dried up. If this doesn't shake us into action, nothing will. 📉 💧Rainwater harvesting isn't just a policy; it’s an individual and RWA duty. 💧Cleaning and desilting soak pits is a simple wonder that rejuvenates groundwater. ⛈️🌧️Now the rains will give us a second chance. Let’s not waste it to harvest it . 💧Are we ready to act? 🌧️👇 Clips showing cleaning of soak pits in our society 👇👇 #HyderabadWaterCrisis #SaveWater #BorewellRecharge #RWA #ActiveCitizens

Sharing a letter I have written to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, seeking an urgent inquiry into media reports alleging the disappearance of 40 lakh tonnes of coal worth nearly ₹1,600 crore from The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). Given the company’s existing financial stress due to over ₹51,500 crore in outstanding dues from the Telangana Government, any reported irregularities warrant a thorough investigation. I have called upon the Chief Minister to ensure a prompt inquiry, strengthen safeguards where necessary, and secure the smooth operation of SCCL and the welfare of its manpower. The welfare of over 40,000 SCCL employees and their families, as well as the future of this prestigious institution, must remain our collective priority.

How much longer will the narrow road near Shenoy Hospital in East Marredpally continue to choke traffic, with no widening carried out in over a decade? What is the point of spending ₹900 crore on the AOC Alternative Road Project if every vehicle still has to grind to a halt at this single narrow stretch at Shenoy?

Telangana Govt fumbles massive skill opportunity for tribal youth. MSDE sanctioned 8,595 training seats for DET-ITIs in Nov 2025 (deadline: 31 Mar 2026). But TRICOR’s proposal for 63,100 ST youth (₹118 Cr) was submitted only on 5 Jan 2026 — just 85 days before scheme closure. MSDE rightly asked them to revise as per template. As a result? thousands of ST youth in Telangana are likely to miss certified training in EV, CNC, 3D Printing, construction & more — because of late submission and poor planning by the Telangana State Govt. Skill India cannot succeed if states treat deadlines as suggestions. Tribal youth deserve better than bureaucratic delays. Why such negligence from the Telangana Govt? @TelanganaCMO @Bhatti_Mallu #PMKVY #SkillIndia #Telangana #RTI

Hyderabad is among world's top 30 cities at risk of extreme heat (definitely not something to be proud of) ▶️Reasons cited are rapid urbanization, loss of tree cover and disappearance of water bodies. ▶️The risk is much higher than score of cities such as Bangkok and Hanoi. Source: @TOIHyderabad
