Go visit the nursing homes and talk to the staff. They are full of people who have children. My mom took us to "adopt a grandparent" there to volunteer...it was rare that their own kids visited, and it was shameful and tragic. There are no guarantees in life.

You have to out-earn what you see around you. Rent/housing, groceries, healthcare, etc. If you're just getting started...stop complaining that things are hard, and start finding paths forward. Not everyone needs a Ferrari, but you should have security and no one will give that to you, but you.
