There’s nowhere else in Canada that can match the world-class workforce, banking and defence manufacturing expertise, and global connections that Toronto and Ontario offer. To make the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank an immediate success, it needs to be headquartered in Toronto.

Great piece by @RodPhillips01 explaining why Toronto should host the new global defence bank.
A Toronto location would put the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank (DSRB), which will serve allied governments, where the financial infrastructure is, writes Rod Phillips nationalpost.com/opinion/why…

My dream for Canada has always been to create the conditions for our country to lead in an inclusive global innovation economy … by activating a multi-generational re-investment of entrepreneurial experience, capital and networks to build the Canada that we all imagine. Together, we can inspire Toronto, Ontario and Canada as a global destination for the talent, investment and partners that we need to solve for the climate crisis, to bring wellness to longevity, to use the power of generative AI to be a platform for a better world and to protect against the cyber-threats that challenge our world — all in multi-trillion dollar knowledge based economies. That’s our mission, and our founders, investors and ecosystem partners are the standard bearers for that aspiration. Here’s my Q&A in the Toronto Star on the role of tech in Canada’s economic success: thestar.com/business/2023/04…

We’re adding more beds and making sure that every Ontarian who needs a bed will have one. This morning, I was joined by Minister @RodPhillips01 at the Toronto Congress Centre to announce additional surge capacity beds for #LTC residents and hospital patients that need them.

Joined by @fordnation, I had the opportunity to tour the Specialized Care Centre, which is aiding with the surge capacity for #LTC residents & hospital patients across the GTA. We’ll continue to make necessary investments to ensure those who are in need of a bed, will have one.
