I don’t know how to explain this phenomenon, but a Knicks championship might trigger a butterfly effect that reaches far beyond sports. In the largest city in America, a moment of collective joy could ripple outward, accelerating unity, restoring hope, and briefly making people forget the divisions that separate them

I do love that the finals have changed the big blank wall of this universally hated condo building into a site of community joy

A really good take on AI animation: "Back in the 90s, 3D animation finally became good enough, and it sparked a new era for the industry. AI animation will do the same. For the first time, small teams, or even individuals, will be able to create things that previously required huge budgets, studios, and years of work. That won’t just benefit creators. It will benefit audiences too. We’ll get far more original, ambitious, and wonderful animated stories than traditional technology ever allowed."

The @NewYorker has done it again. The cover perfectly captures the vibrant atmosphere of NYC during the Knicks’ final, with street watch parties, joyous screams from houses, and pleasant weather.
