Unlike other melanoma, Acral Lentiginous Melanoma (ALM) is usually located on the palms of hands & soles of feet. ALM is the only type of melanoma which arises equally across all skin types & is frequently observed in darker skin types. ALM can advance faster than other melanoma.

Rates of melanoma are rising faster than any other cancer in Britain. Why is that? Is it because there is still a genuine lack of awareness regarding the dangers of UV radiation and how to enjoy the sun safely?
