Speech & language therapists (SLTs) are vital in addressing eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS) difficulties. SLTs work with a healthcare team to offer quality care. EDS problems may signal underlying issues, leading to severe health risks affecting individuals & their families

ALT RCSLT ROOT data shows that 74% of patients with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties improve with help from speech and language therapists.

A #stroke strikes someone every 5 minutes in the UK.
The first sign of a stroke might not seem serious: struggling to smile, not being able to raise your arm or slurring when you speak. Even if doesn’t seem like much, at the first sign of a stroke #ActFAST and call 999.
