I've heard a lot over the years about Eisenhower's farewell address. I'm sure I've even quoted it a time or two. But I was today years old the first time I read it in its entirety. It's very good. And short. I commend it to you.

Vets are held to a higher standard--and they should be. One violent extremist vet is one too many. But it helps to have a data-informed perspective. As in many other ways, our all-volunteer force is fairly reflective of the society it serves.

What's really striking to me is not how rare these views are among vets, but how prevalent they are in the general population. Great Replacement... really?!?
It’s not as if all that super-sexy direct action CT stuff wasn’t also in support of a campaign, right? I mean, I hope we weren’t just indiscriminately schwacking folks for the fun of it…
Maybe, rather than discouraging operators from thinking about the larger context of operations during GPC, leaders should stop and ask themselves why they weren’t thinking about it during GWOT.
This is organization will make a significant contribution to US national security. After visiting ASU and meeting those involved I have high confidence that will will serve our nation well.
