Unless you uncouple MLS from SUM, open the pyramid via #ProRelforUSA, and start to follow FIFA guidelines on youth development payments then you are just moving deck chairs on the Titanic. There is no incentive to invest in youth academies in the current system. You know this.

The world doesn’t work that way. US Soccer does. Merit should be the principle factor in determining a team’s divisional level. Leaving it to Gatekeepers is the wrong way and America suffers for it. #ProRelForUSA
Look, Sac deserves an MLS team and has checked all the boxes. But that’s not how the world works. Teams who outshoot their opponents 30–1 and lose 1-0 allegedly “deserve” wins, but that’s not soccer. Sacramento, unfairly, doesn’t move the needle

This! It is correctly pointed out that when fans buy more tickets and watch on TV that those revenues do NOT go to the USWNT. Instead they go MLS owners through their company Soccer United Marketing which has a no bid contract with US Soccer.

What does that even mean? I don't regret spending countless hours trying to save an 11k ballpark for an NASL expansion team, even though I didn't get an NASL team and the stadium was ultimately torn down. Better to fight & lose than sit silent & jaded. #ProRelForUSA #OpenSoccer
