Today I got the children to think about scale, proportion and shape of the U.K. They first of all had to draw what they thought England and Wales look like. They then had to improve their map drawing skills once they could see the real map. The improvement was staggering. #Year4

Honestly, I cannot remember living through darker times than these. But children's books have helped kids to survive and rebuild the world before, and I think they still can. Escape, connection, understanding, hope - books can give them all of that.

'Pirates' was the theme this morning over at Dorchester Youth Centre. The kids that took part all have additional needs and we get together through the Artz organisation to give their parents a breather. Did I join in? What do you think? 😂👍

For anyone who still hasn’t seen these amazing colouring pencils, they are still on offer at ASDA for 2.65 a pack. They have been my most used and requested item of stationery in class the last few years. So vital every classroom has them. Grabbed me a few more packs to replace.
