This morning, the @utsystem Board of Regents approved an agreement between UTMB and @BlueZones, officially bringing the Blue Zones Project to Galveston. This approval reflects our longstanding commitment to advancing health and vitality in the communities we serve. The Blue Zones Project is a research-informed population health initiative designed to help communities improve well-being and support longer, healthier lives. Yesterday I had the opportunity to formally welcome Dr. David L. Vines, Senior Vice President and Dean of the School of Health Professions @SHPUTMB, during a welcome reception with colleagues. Dr. Vines brings more than 20 years of leadership experience, including an extensive background in respiratory care and a strong record of spearheading impactful programs. It was great to have him in the room as we connected with colleagues and looked ahead to his continued leadership in empowering faculty and students.
