Mark Carney has been wrong about every major economic question of our time. - He predicted COVID would cause deflation - He supported carbon taxes - His Net-Zero Alliance is now bankrupt and shut down - He wrote we should keep 50% of our oil in the ground - He opposed the Northern Gateway Pipeline He is an expert at making exactly the wrong call every single time.

There is absolutely no shame left in Canadian politics.

Pierre Poilievre’s recent interview with @StevenBartlett on Diary of a CEO offers something we don’t often get from political leaders: a long, relatively unfiltered explanation of how he sees the world. It was more substantive than his Rogan interview IMO. Taken together, it reveals what I think is a coherent political worldview.

Poilievre: "If you cannot trust a man to govern himself, how can you trust him to govern for others? If you think that human nature is so flawed that people cannot make decisions for themselves, then how could you possibly trust human nature to make decisions for other people?"

Advocated for Canada’s workers and businesses in today’s meeting with Texas Governor @GregAbbott_TX and Canadian MP @StevenBonkMP. In 2024, Texas was Canada’s second-largest export destination, and our fourth-largest trading partner overall, with $75 USD billion in trade. This included billions in Canadian natural resources and manufactured goods, including nearly $7 USD billion of oil and gas in 2024 alone. Over the past decade, Texas has brought $4.7 USD billion in capital investment to Canada, creating over 6,500 new jobs. With a CUSMA review on the horizon, discussions like this one are more important than ever. Our goal is to make Canada strong at home so we have unbreakable leverage abroad.

This is another illusion. Carney cannot release more oil because we don’t have any stockpiles or enough pipelines to deliver it. Why? Because the Liberals’ anti-development laws and industrial carbon taxes remain, with Carney’s stated goal of keeping half our oil in the ground. Scrap Liberal laws and carbon taxes. Unblock projects and pipelines. Build a strategic energy and minerals stockpile.

He murdered a woman in Vancouver in 2012. Then he was released, and later caught torturing animals. And just yesterday, he murdered a clerk in cold blood at a corner store in Montreal. Tomorrow I am travelling to the United States to stand up for Canadian workers and fight for tariff-free access to our closest neighbour and the world's largest economy. Canada must continue to make our case on how free trade is a win-win for both the Canadian and American people.

Mark Carney is using back room deals to seize a costly majority that voters rejected, which will enable Liberals to balloon debt, inflate the cost of living, block resources and turn criminals loose on our streets. Conservatives will do what we promised voters: fight for a Canada that is affordable, safe and strong at home and unbreakable abroad.

He has been hearing from our trading partners in Asia that they want our energy. So let's get on with it. Repeal C-69, the tanker ban, the industrial carbon tax. Deregulate. Accelerate. Build.
