We won't stop you if you want to fry an egg on the sidewalk but please don't do it to your dog's paws! Dangerous levels of heat are expected in the South, West and Midwest through the week. These heightened temperatures can put you and your pets at risk of a heat stroke. Use this pavement trick to determine if it’s too hot to walk your pets outside and remember these helpful tips: - Plan walks in the early AM or late PM when temperatures are cooler. - Take routes with grass or lots of shaded areas. - Bring a cold towel or water bottle to help regulate your pet's temperature.
