Very sad to learn of the passing of the magnificent Tom #Stoppard. I was privileged to work with Tom on a movie screenplay based on my book ‘Shockwave’ about the Hiroshima bomb and was stunned not just by his talent but by his incredible generosity and kindness. A great loss.

Incredibly the atomic bomb air crews visited Nagasaki a few weeks after they'd bombed it. For some crew members what they saw would haunt them for the rest of their lives...

80 years ago - this happened. The world was never the same again. The fissioning enriched #uranium that wiped out #Hiroshima and killed 150,000 people weighed the same as a bottle of water. Or a pineapple. Think about it.
