It’s kinda funny or sad that this message on the back of the Harris County van is only true inside the City of Houston & not the unincorporated parts of the county or other cities. #txlege should ensure a consistent Safe Passing law statewide. Right @raylopezfortx?

This is how a smart urban county can and should invest in transportation equitably and sustainably in the city where the most people of the county live and work and go to school.

Harris County Precinct One owns a fleet of 350 bicycles & is constantly moving around communities teaching children how to safely ride & showing adults that there are safe facilities in their community. Terrific leadership from @RodneyEllis & contribution from @woombikesUSA.

The boulevards in #CDMX have dedicated space for people walking, rolling and biking. The boulevards are designed with mid-block access for people. The treelined trails and streets create a pleasant experience for all.

A significant number of people were using the BikeShare system, EcoBici. Bike racks are available on every block within the pedestrian realm. The scale of the streets, pedestrians realm, and streetscape were conducive for people walking and biking. (Morning walk images)

Everyone deserves access to quality green space. We're planning significant improvements to Lake Houston waterfront at Deussen Park. New trails & boardwalks, expanded lawn along the water, floating docks, a new pedestrian–bicycle bridge & trails connecting to Eisenhower Park.

Observation from CDMX: Impressive network of protected bikeways, bike boulevards and neighborhood bikeways in Ciudad de Mexico. Most of people riding and rolling were going to/from work, families riding for recreation, and tourists.
