3. The NRF2 pathway is a crucial therapeutic target to control the type 2 diabetes, metabolic and muscle dysfunction associated with loss of myosin heavy chain-slow. Using a mouse model that we developed, we can rescue these defects by giving sulforaphane, which activates NRF2.
