For the rest of the country, Valentine’s Day is about love and friendship — but for our Broward County community, it’s also a day of loss and remembrance. Six years ago today, a gunman entered Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — opening fire to shoot 34, kill 17, and forever change the lives of thousands more. And so today — and every single day since February 14, 2018 — we remember and honor the victims and survivors with love, care, and a deep commitment to keeping our schools and communities safe. For Alyssa, Scott, Martin, Nicholas, Aaron, Jaime, Chris, Luke, Cara, Gina, Joaquin, Alaina, Meadow, Helena, Alex, Carmen, and Peter. ❤️ 🦅
