Thought you would enjoy seeing this. Wednesday evening in the city. The lights on the Nelson Mandela bridge switched on after a close to four-year period of inactivity, due to theft and neglect. A Jozi My Jozi flagship project - a private sector initiative to regenerate the inner city - the new lighting was paid for by Absa, and is now solar generated. A city security team now monitors the bridge. Key players include Standard Bank and Anglo American. Next up is a project to restore the glass barriers - with PG Glass.
