When it opened in 1913, the Edington was called the Edington Convalescent Home but it became a place where mothers could go for a few days' respite and was known locally as ‘The Home For Tired Mothers’. Any tired mothers out there? #handsaroundtheedington

The Edington closed 10 weeks ago with patients & staff moved to East Lothian Community Hospital in Haddington. In 3 weeks a decision will be made on whether it will reopen or not. If you want to see services reinstated at the Edington, sign the petition

In the last 3 months, who has had to travel to the RIE or Sick Kids for treatment or to Haddington to see a loved one in care? This closure takes care out of the community to the detriment of service users and their families. Time to write to NHS Lothian #handsaroundtheedington
