Today the Champ Man universe celebrates an icon. He can’t be reasoned with. He can’t be bargained with. He has no pity, remorse, or fear. And he absolutely won’t stop until he’s won every trophy, in every league across the world. Many Happy Returns Maxim Tsigalko.

The Saudi owners of @NUFC have just executed Jalal Labbad for the ‘crime’ of attending demos when he was 15. Club Chairman Yasir al-Rumayyan, a Saudi government minister has been ‘celebrated’ in a @worflags’s display yet the victims of the regime are ignored. ..SPORTSWASHING

Not all #NUFC fans worship Yasir al-Rumayyan and his role as a Saudi minister in the human rights abusing government should not be diminished and sportswashed. Al-Rumayyan is a key collaborator of the Saudi chief dictator Mohammed bin Salman who presides over a bloody regime.

Saudi dictatorship's execution spree continues.... @NUFC is owned by this bloody regime & the Chairman of the club, Yasir al-Rumayyan is a minister in the Saudi government which has such a disregard for human rights. When will @NewcastleCC & MPs break their silence & speak up?

A big factor in the sportswashing project of the Saudi dictatorship at Newcastle is the complicity of the media. Not one media outlet, local or national mentioned that the @NUFC Chairman Yasir al-Rumayyan who hogs the @Carabao_Cup is a key regime figure. This is sportswashing.

Will drop the rivalry for a second. In fairness it’s not just Palace. This applies to a lot of the “Other 14” clubs. The Rich 6 fans and Sky 6 media rarely see it from the fans of these clubs perspective. They think all that matters is the Big 6. They see other clubs as simply making up the numbers. They talk as if fans of other clubs should take what they get. As a Brighton fan I remember watching on in horror as the media turned on us for daring to sack Hughton, after narrowly surviving relegation with low block football. “What do Brighton expect?” “Their fans are unrealistic” “Be careful what you wish for Brighton fans” The patronising and smug attitude from Rich 6 pundits and media was genuinely outrageous. And their comments look deliciously cretinous in hindsight. Meanwhile they forgot that the man who made the call to sack Hughton IS a Brighton fan, and he was clearly proven right. Brighton were entitled to dream bigger, and to want to embed a progressive exciting style of football into the club. And why shouldn’t they? F*** the Big 6. Whoever you support you should be allowed to look up and dream a bit #PremierLeague #BHAFC #CPFC #WHUFC

Palace (and many other clubs outside of the established big boys) are given this sort of treatment. It would be nice (just sometimes) to get a level of analysis as to supporters’ frustrations beyond the surface level stuff of Hodgson being “experienced”. It’s not hard to ask us.
