Now tagged as a 10% area by @NHC_Atlantic, some chance exists for a brief tropical depression to form later this week in the western Gulf as the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristina combine with a tropical wave/trough crossing the Yucatan Peninsula. Elevated wind shear will leave the system with little time to consolidate prior to moving westward into Mexico, so chances for a significant storm look low.
Following this thread 3 days ago, it appears we are seeing model consolidation toward less potential for storm activity in the Gulf this week, with physics-based models like EPS backing off from their earlier aggression.
The remaining risk is associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Cristina potentially crossing Central America and regenerating in the Bay of Campeche this weekend, but the probability of tropical storm formation is looking low for now.

For the current outlook to be that he'll play in 2026 after serving just a two-game suspension is stunning.

The @NHC_Pacific has issued advisories on the first tropical cyclone of the Pacific hurricane season, TD One-E. While expected to strengthen somewhat and become a tropical storm for a few days, TD One-E is expected to inevitably decay over the open ocean within a week due to increasingly hostile conditions, and is not a threat to land areas.
