1/2 Out yesterday with my partner and saw a cop struggling with an unruly gentleman. Stepped in to offer my assistance and the officer more concerned with a "MOP" getting involved and hurt than for their own safety. After presenting my warrant card I could see the relief
I hate that we live in a world where we have to question people willing to help , to avoid complaints/trial by social media, even at the cost of our own safety.
Seeing what happend yesterday in London , and then seeing forces refusing Tazer training to both regulars and specials blows my mind. Maybe there aren't knifes , swords or people out to do harm in the ivory towers of HQs across the country.

Trying to book a stay near Bracknell to get our friend home to say his last goodbyes to his grandma. Only to be rejected due to risk of having a party.
They are not providing any reason why , other than it's been flagged . We need to get down there
Terrified by the number of SCs I see on here considering resignation due to lack of training or support from our regular counterparts. I consider myself lucky , I've got my response driving booked and am shielded from the politics. But more needs to be done for us. #Special
Each day, we respond to 999 calls never truly knowing what lies at the other end.
We act in good faith to help others, we use our intuition & skill set we develop to do the best we can.
Remembering Nicola & Fiona who were murdered answering a call for help. #ThinBlueLine 🇬🇧😞🚨
Is it just me that feels like they missed something or could have said more when you take a statement and crime details from a victim , only for them to retract it hours later , letting their attacker effectively get away with it ?
