Officially Dr. rer. nat.!
A few weeks ago, I successfully defended my dissertation, and today, I had the pleasure of receiving my certificate—making me Dr. Selina Rust🎓
With this chapter coming to an end, a new and exciting one is about to begin—one that will take me on a very different kind of journey👶 before returning to work in about a year and gaining new experiences🧠
We have two postdoc positions available (funded for 3 years by Volkswagen Momentum) for research related to the de novo evolution of (i) bacterial anti-CRISPR activities and (ii) archaeal tRNA gene introns. Please feel free to share or apply: stellenangebote.uni-marburg.…
Thank you for the detailled overview of this team effort and your hard work @patrick_pausch! If you want to see beautiful Type IV effector complexes in action, check out: nature.com/articles/s41467-0…
Dr. @Mariana_Sanlo24 and team present a visualization of Type IV-A1 #CRISPR-mediated repression of gene expression and plasmid replication, highlighting long-range gene repression effects that rely on the processivity of the CasDinG helicase.

Are you interested in building DNA? The Golden Gate Cloning book of the #Methods in #Molecular#Biology just went online: link.springer.com/book/10.10…
Find superb step by step protocols to harness the power of Golden Gate cloning. Many thanks all authors for their contributions!
Thank you for involving us in this great project! It was a pleasure to work with you. Nice collaboration between @SYNMIKRO @mpi_marburg and @Uni_MR@MiNu_RTG2937
Happy to share our paper on archaeal mRNA caps and their processing in @NatureComms: rdcu.be/drIXx
Thank you very much to our very helpful partners in the labs of @JaeschkeLab, @HoerferLab, Jörg Soppa and Nicole Paczia. @Bio_UM, @SYNMIKRO
Our lab has an open #Phdposition for students interested in RNA and Archaea:
