As vice chair of the Senate Family Care & Aging Committee, I am extremely concerned that residents of long-term care are being forgotten.
Today @mnhealth said long-term care residents, on full lockdown for 3 months, can have window visits. Meanwhile @GovTimWalz prioritizes free testing for protestors & a $6.9 million morgue that sits empty. Where is the concern for our seniors?! 😠 mnsenaterepublicans.com/sena…

For 3 months, seniors in long-term care have been on lockdown while COVID ravaged many of their facilities. But where's the concern for them? @GovTimWalz & his administration are failing Minnesota seniors. And I'm going to say it again & again & again until something changes.

This morning, I sent @mnhealth more than a dozen outstanding questions they have yet to answer. If I don’t receive a satisfactory response by this weekend, I will pursue a legislative subpoena under MN Statutes 3.153. We need to see a better executed plan! mnsenaterepublicans.com/hous…

This afternoon, @GovTimWalz will announce this an update to his stay home order. We are expecting him to continue his order, but begin to slowly re-open businesses. I believe the question we should ask is if it is safe or unsafe for business to operate... here’s a few thoughts.

We are leading on this issue in the Minnesota Senate. We will pass emergency funding this morning to help public health officials battle a #COVIDー19 outbreak in Minnesota
Gov Walz agrees #COVID2019 is the new #1 priority of the legislative session and is very pleased Minnesota’s uniquely divided government is moving quickly in a bipartisan manner to pass emergency legislation #mnleg @tpt @NewsHour
On Monday morning, the Senate will pass my bill that gives @mnhealth $21 million to combat #COVIDー19. The bill has already gone through the committee process in anticipation of the virus reaching Minnesota, so we are ready to act.
