Gm🫡 - I haven’t had as much fomo about anything lately like I had watching all of the insane happenings during our @TimeToBeHappyGY 2nd birthday week! Truly amazing to see it grow up and witness, even if from afar (mostly via IG stories of hundreds of artists and collectors), all of the incredible creatives who have been in residency. This feels like more of a movement than a place. I can’t wait to take a more active role once I finally get back to the States, and I’d like to extend the opening for any of you artists in our decentralized online/community to discuss the possibility of a residency for yourself. Once again, my hats are completely and unequivocally all of the way off for my incredible brother and business partner in the SoHo Gallery, Benzi. You, ser, are a rare and incredible talent (or maybe force of nature) to be able to do what you do everyday. Can’t wait to see ya in a few weeks! - I’m curious, what would you hope to gain from a residency? What would you like to give to one? How might your art change? Have you ever done something like this before? Would you travel all the way to a different country to participate in something like this? What do you think is a good length of time for a residency?
Past weekend we celebrated our 2nd anniversary with 100 artists, 4 days art festival welcoming over 2000 guests Past 2 years we’ve hosted 167 artists in our non profit residency program - now aiming to host 100 more by end of year!! Benzi & @Sendrock

Gm🤘🏼 - Wow, I can’t believe our SoHo gallery is about to have its second birthday! Time really flies! Though Benzi @TimeToBeHappyGY truly IS the gallery, and has created and runs it in ways that are hard to even imagine, I feel such a deep sense of gratitude and excitement about what it is we are building. It’s truly unique. If any of you are in NYC over the next few days and into this weekend be sure to stop by and check it out. Last year I was there for the 1 year anniversary and it was one of the greatest irl art meetup experiences I’ve ever had. To all the artists who have been in residency, I thank you and look forward to seeing you a couple weeks later if you’re still around! - I’m curious, what’s been your favorite irl meetup so far? What is the next one you plan on attending? Are you going to NFC like I thought I’d be?? If so what are you most excited about? Would you like to spend a month or more (for free) at our gallery in NY as a resident? If so let me know and I’ll put you in touch with the right people.
Past 2 years we’ve hosted 167 artists in our non profit residency program We’re celebrating 2 years this weekend hosting a 4 day non profit art festival - 75 artist, 3 fashion shows,4 live bands & a papaya ceremony. Join us luma.com/d598r9w1 Founders; Benzi & @Sendrock

Gm✈️ - Just a few weeks ago we found out that our eternity of waiting had abruptly come to an end. In the following two days we packed up our entire life in Mexico. What had been an endless string of uncertainty collapsed into very certain timeframes and the necessity for exact logistical expedience. Really gets your blood pumping! In those two long days we transformed the home we had lived in for over a year back into the empty rental it found us as… and I was mule-ing our many suitcases of belongings to Texas as @nudity_slip took off for Barcelona. A week later we met in Poland for the train ride to Ukraine and have been knocking off our final visa deliverables ever since! And in all of this chaos we’ve both felt the excitement of finally, FINALLY going to the US together contrasted by the sweet appreciation for the way Mexico held us. The beauty of the ocean and every amazing sunset, the warmth of the sand beneath our feet and of the amazing people we now call friends, the calmness of our life while on retreat in what ended up becoming our first home together in Cabo. So many gifts, and countless sweet memories. - I’m curious, when in your life did you have unexpected chapters spring up? How were they different than your normal chosen life? Did you accept this chapter quickly? Did you resist? What gifts did this period of time deliver? What memory comes to mind first when you reminisce? - //a couple shots from the final color and bw rolls of film shot at Casa Nolia, Pedregal, B.C.S.

Gm🎂 - I believe my new (insanely funny, aesthetically golden, & truly unique) tarot cards tell that this will be my best year yet🔮😂 Ever wiser and with such a creative and devastatingly beautiful woman by my side, how could it be anything less! - Дякую тобі, моя кохана, за цей чудовий подарунок. Ти справді найкраща частина мого життя, і щодня я прокидаюся вдячним за наше кохання! @nudity_slip - I’m curious, what is your sign? Any fellow Taureans out there? How much stock do you put in such non-linear forms of self knowledge? Do you tarot? What is it that you believe in most?

Gm🇺🇦 - If anyone is in Kyiv and wants to grab a coffee or chill hmu, be here for a bit… - Made this oddity the other day, first time really working with clay since childhood. It was a great experience, setting out with nothing in mind other than not to leave very thick areas (for firing correctly). The idea of making something useful, like a cup or plate or something didn’t appeal to me, maybe a sculpture I thought would be more interesting. No idea what I actually made though. Allowing the clay and my hands to tell me what to do, it was very intuitive and brought me deeply into the moment. Whether making it, viewing it or collecting it, I’m always learning more about art. For me it’s the balance of life. - I’m curious, what’s your favorite art form that isn’t your main artistic medium? Do you practice many forms besides digital? What do you learn from allowing intuition to guide you? Do you consider your artistic work to be singular or of a mixed media? Also, what the hell is it that I made here? Any ideas? Anyone want to name it?

Gm🚂 - We are on the train into Ukraine for what should be the last time before we make it home to the US. Our process has given me a real sense of just how intense and trying it is to immigrate in today’s chaotic world. Something that seems so simple, to move to the place where your loved one lives. Apparently not. And when such an adventure takes years to accomplish, not only does the appreciation for its resolution run deep, but it also brings a zoomed out perspective on life and its chapters and milestones. The soul’s journey. Each of us experiences a one-of-a-kind life, and yet our human condition is remarkably similar. We can, in our own way, relate to each other through common feelings and archetypal thoughts, patterns and life-scenarios. We all share more than they know, even when we feel completely at odds with the world around us. It is my wish that humans move, however gently, into greater recognitions of our similarities than our differences, and that we one day truly see one another as kin. At this moment I especially hold this for the brave Ukrainians defending their homeland, and to those around the world fighting for what they believe in most. - That same wish lives in the work I’m sharing today. I recently collected this piece by @frankie_high, in which he transmuted the grief of losing his best friend, who reached a desperation so deep she took her own life. I pray that we recognize the incredible gift this life is, and that no matter what challenges and struggles arrive, we grow and thrive through them and always trust that the familiar light will be at the end of every new tunnel. - I’m curious, what tunnels have you walked thru lately? Have you reached the light on the other side? How long did it take, and what was learned? Who are you now?

Gm👁️ - Who’s at Basel this week? Many, many years ago, Basel HK was my first ever major art experience, wish I was there! - I’ve been quiet here lately as some new areas of my life have required my full volume😎 But I’ve been watching, and I’ve been thinking about this space and all of you here slugging it out, for the culture. - @ArtBasel Hong Kong opened this week with the second edition of Zero 10, their dedicated section for digital art. @AOTMgallery, @artblocks_io, @bitforms, @PaceGallery… If you told me five years ago that these names would share a floor at Basel under a banner specifically built for what we do here, I’d have probably been one of the few who believed you. - Meanwhile Christie’s closed their digital department last year. NFT Paris cancelled. Growing pains are real, and businesses need to work to persist, the universe owes us nothing.. And yet the latest Art Basel/UBS survey says 51% of high-net-worth collectors purchased digital work in the last two years, making it third in total art spending! The people and institutions that arrived for the hype have cleared out. The infrastructure that remains is being built by the people who never left. - I often view the world via economic lenses. Early markets reward whoever shows up. The middle period rewards those who refuse to leave (often against their better judgement). And eventually, the market matures enough to reward quality and established networks above all else. We’re somewhere in that transition right now, and I know it’s painful for a lot of artists and collectors who put everything into this. But the ones still refining their craft through this stretch are building something that compounds in ways most people won’t recognize until later. - I’m curious, what’s exciting you in the space right now? Whats worrying you? What are you working on that nobody’s seen yet? Is it different than past efforts? What keeps you convicted that this is your highest path as an artist? - This conversation brings to mind a work of art I collected recently: Artwork: Unreal, @MattiaPannoni collected on @SuperRare. Artist notes: Unreal captures the growing influence of technology, which not only manipulates reality but also distorts our perception of what is authentic. The power of decay increases as human abilities to alter the natural world advance, ultimately turning into a weapon against ourselves. The forest, usually seen as a haven of tranquility, becomes a battlefield where the individual must confront not only technological oppression but also their own fears and insecurities. The photograph captures a moment of epiphany, an instant when the individual realizes that they are both the source of the chaos and the key to its resolution. The scorched landscape around her is not just destruction but an act of purification, a sign of her determination to transcend the boundaries imposed by artificial reality. It’s no longer just about survival, but transcendence about discovering a truth that exists beyond the illusions created by technology and the mind. This image reflects the journey of someone who, trapped in a world of constraints, is forced to confront their darkest fears, struggling not only for physical freedom but also for mental and emotional liberation. Her path is arduous, marked by storms of uncertainty, but it’s also a declaration of strength, an act of defiance against a world that seeks to consume her. Within the work lies the hope of a new beginning, a reality where the individual can finally be truly themselves, free from the distortions of an increasingly unreal world. This shot delves into the complexity of the struggle for authenticity in an era dominated by manipulation. It’s an invitation to look beyond the illusions, to find the true essence of reality in a world that constantly seeks to confuse and distort. Destruction becomes an act of creation.

Gm💌 - May this day be a reminder… to let the unknown touch your heart and send ripples through your soul. To be an advocate for mystery, a conduit of passion and most of all find the courage to believe, forgive and trust. Let love in all its endless forms guide you. - What is your wish today? - Happy Valentine’s Day, from @nudity_slip and I and all the romantics out there celebrating the power and expression of love❤️‍🔥

Gm👸🏻 - What excites you most about this life? Is it something you have? Something you want? Someone you hold dear? Some outcome you hope is on the horizon? What quality does this bring to your world? Intensity? Wonder? Joy? Love? When feelings for art grew beyond my control, my heart felt a truth held deep inside. A truth mirrored back to me by the woman I love. From afar I had witnessed the perfection of life. In each frame, she opened my eyes to purpose. In my arms she’s made me her own. - I will always be grateful to the artists and photographers (like Dos Gatos who shot this immeasurable piece) who gently nudged us closer together. And to my sweet love @nudity_slip, who makes my life such a beautiful Dream. - the way she moves a glance her gaze whispering that which may not be named piercing petals adrift to the sea alive inside alone but for her soulful touch the gift my heart beats longing to be the sound of her voice stepping stones off the path sipping wet earthen clay springing up thru her cave breathing life to these hands silken sought strumming held fast to the chatter of tight skin pull me in waves crashing from the deep moaning shores of embrace.

Gm⛈️ - “Stormbringer” (2006) has always been one of my favorite collected artworks since joining our space, one of the earlier pieces I collected that still remains near the top of my list (October 2021). It now reminds me of my beautiful fiancée every time I look. Gary Tonge (@AntiphanUB) is one of the most unique artists I’ve met here, with many of his minted works being made in the early 2000’s or before and many having had enormous viewership in the early days of the internet and across myriad forms of traditional publishing. I could go on and on about his works, and how insane it is that many were created with a mouse, click by click, but I think it’s easier to just give you his website so you can step into the world of a real visionary genius who loves quietly amongst us. visionafar.com Be amazed. - I’m curious, do you use a website or some portfolio page that you think does an incredible job of showing the world who you are with very little friction? If so, please link it I’d love to take a look! If not, I’d consider making that a priority. That is financial advice. - Artists notes on Stormbringer: “Swirling majestically through the sky, a Storm Angel conjures deep, laden clouds to bring much needed rain.” This piece was created in 2006 as a study of anatomy and a chance to play with light and shadow over the human form. I do not make as much figure work as I would like to, it was a lot of fun to paint! 2132x2888 pixels Photoshop Wacom

Gm👁️👃🏻👁️ - It’s been quite some time since Paris Photo, such an unexpected and great experience. Amazing milestones in collecting, meeting web3 people I’ve known for ages for the first time, meeting some I never knew but knew of… all in Paris, which carries its own weight. - Obviously NFTParis isn’t going to happen this year, which I know makes many of us sad. I’m curious, do you have any irl events planned for this year? Any you’d love to go to but can’t make it? What would you hope to accomplish? What has been your best experience at an irl gathering in the past? Why? When artists ask me what they can do to succeed at a higher level, my first advice is always to prioritize irl events and gatherings because though we are all decentralized and this is a major core strength of our space and of blockchain in general, we are still humans (for now) and we still make the most real and deepest connections in person. They 100% affect and alter my collecting decisions. - Also, happiest birthday to @kaminskaya14!! Check out this cool vector shot I snapped of you and @nudity_slip at Paris Photo 📸 - And thank you again to @GrantYun2 & @EvergreenDazed for these insane pieces added to the Sendrock Vault👊🏼

Gm💀 - I was just checking out @raster_art for pretty much the first time… yes I often live under a rock when I’m busy at work. Luckily I saw @RaoulGMI post about it the other day which piqued my curiosity. Scrolling my recent activity I wondered how many trad art collectors have ever died 6 times collecting an artwork? Thanks the brilliance of @0xdiid I now claim this macabre milestone as another notch on the ole belt🫡 - What’s the most unique story you’ve heard about collecting, whether it’s you who collected or a friend… or it was your art or someone else’s? - We are a space full of stories and these stories speak of an immense network effect which we are barely starting to comprehend. Thanks to the artist and to @SuperRare for this one.

Gm🐴 - Imagine my surprise and excitement when I realized that my favorite NFT was about to be released as an insanely beautiful limited edition statue🤯 @JamesJeanArt is my favorite living artist. To have collected a 1/1 of his is something that wouldn’t be conceivable if it weren’t for our space. Add this to the list of things I’m grateful for here. Thanks @SuperRare 🫡 I’m sure these will sell out immediately, but I’ve secured one and if anybody here is interested to have their own the set is limited to 25 and you can enquire on their site or ask and I’ll connect you to the representative. Watch the vid below to see it in all its glory. - Gallery: galleryall.com - Sculpture preview video on IG: instagram.com/reel/DTN621-D7… - Artist’s Note: Not merely a piece of playground equipment, “Horse” is a cross-section exposing the nucleus, Golgi apparatus, mitochondria, and lysosomes of a cell. The metal spring is a flagellum, propelling the protagonist through space. The protagonist's hair bears an eery resemblance to the ice cream in her hand. As she consumes her treat, her head slowly melts away, memories vanishing as childish thoughts are replaced by more complex concerns devised by the rapidly dividing cells in her growing brain. Horse. Gn🤓 - As artists you may or may not be interested in the dynamics of our market… but as pioneers of this space I recommend you stay somewhat current with the main stats. This is lengthy but succinct and hits most of the major movements. Plus think of how smart you’ll sound if you remember any of it!
