Trying to get something from epic tech demo that runs on individual machines to an actual first release is heckin humbling This is just the beginning of what we're cooking, I cannot wait to share more Use it, tell us what you like, hate, & want. My DMs are open & we're hiring!
We are super excited to share with you our initial release of Lucky Engine. We are building a robotics engine from the ground up to be what we wished we could find in a simulator before

While closed source AI is in shambles, open source is having one of the best weeks of all time. Z ai GLM 5.2 Minimax M3 Kimi 2.7 code
Jun 13
Intelligence should be open, accessible, and ready to build with, empowering every developer, everywhere. GLM-5.2 is now available to all GLM Coding Plan users, including Lite, Pro, Max, and Team plans. docs.z.ai/devpack/latest-mod… As our new flagship model, GLM-5.2 delivers powerful coding capabilities, usable 1M-context support, and continued strengths in long-horizon tasks. API and Chatbot services will launch next week. The model will also be officially open-sourced next week under the MIT License. The future of AI is open, and it belongs to the people.

After spending too many hours trying to implement fixes for MiniMax M3 native tool calls serving via llama.cpp to work in existing agents, I simply had M3 write its own mini coding agent I'm calling: Minion Now my minion just edits itself to give me what I want as a coding agent and it works surprisingly well. Lots of changes I plan to make, feel free to use it if you like...but mostly it has me questioning if we all should just make our own agents at this point. Maybe MiniMax is exceptionally good at tool calls out the gate to make this super simple, but I am enjoying making my minion exactly what I want and nothing more! and it doesn't take 50K context to say "hi" (yet) We'll see how long I can keep my own bloat at bay. Also MiniMax M3 overall so far has me very impressed. This is a VERY cool model!

This is why, imho, we're seeing everyone scramble to IPO and to nationalize. There is literally no moat. Mythos isn't a moat, but they desperately NEED it to be one.

anyone who unironically says "mythos class model" is a goober and is not to be trusted

If you're OpenAI or Anthropic, are you actually opposed to being nationalized and intertwined deeply in a "too big to fail" way? Today they're just next-token predictors with open source models a couple months behind but have a never ending appetite for expanse and control.

im just not convinced this is not actually exactly what dario was hoping to achieve and set a precedent for. this is exactly what sama has been droolin about since saying gpt-2 was too dangerous for the public to have. is this really an unforced error?

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

I'm not the best judge of robotics simulators, but this is easily the most user-friendly one I've used. It actually runs well on a Mac. Feels more like the Unity editor / game engine than other simulators. luckyrobots.com/#engine"

He's training a two layer CNN on MNIST. Set dropout to 0.95. Good, now set the learning rate to 10^-8 and remove all of the 7's from the train set.

These posts are cringe but: I have subscribed to anthropic/claude monthly for over 2 years straight since March 2024, even when I was using codex almost completely. Fable "guardrails" are a step (or 30) too far. I honestly don't care how good the model is.

Usage share of OpenAI grew vs Anthropic yesterday despite Mythos 5 / Fable 5 launch Multiple power users at SemiAnalysis tried Mythos / Fable Got refusals for nonsensical reasons Got pissed off at Anthropic Gave Codex a legitimate try Now they actually prefer it to 4.8 Opus

My recent experience w/ Fable: try using Fable to do a thing => tries fail repeatedly => session usage all gone => move over to gpt 5.5 => 5.5 solves instantly.

This model is truly a waste of time and money. This silent self-lobotomization is quite possibly the worst thing you could make a model do when people already suspect models are changing out from under them.
