Doctors are trained to manage symptoms, not reverse metabolic disease. That’s not a criticism. It’s just what the system does. If you want to fix your health, you need a different playbook.

How many Americans do you think are even aware of this?
“Why should I care if I’m being surveilled? I’m not doing anything wrong and they have all my information anyway” This is an absolutely critical question from @glennbeck. And one of the best answers I have heard came from @_whitneywebb! WATCH ——->

The right to bear arms is there to protect free speech and stop a tyrannical government from taking your rights away! That’s why the first thing that all tyrants do is disarm the people, just like Chavez did when he was first elected. After that, no more real elections in Venezuela.

If you were shocked by what you saw last night (as many of my centrist & Democrat friends were), ask yourself why you were shocked. Biden’s cognitive deterioration has been evident for a *very* long time: if you weren’t aware of it, or were convinced those claims were “right-wing conspiracies,” that tells you something important about the quality of the news you’re consuming & the institutions you trust. Ask yourself whether it’s possible that those same outlets which lied to you about the mental fitness of the sitting president might have lied to you about anything else. Look into the Russia collusion hoax, the “fine people” and bleach hoaxes, the origin of COVID-19, Hunter Biden, the evidentiary basis for climate change policies or pediatric “gender-affirming care.” Seek out original sources & uncut video footage, instead of relying on the filter of mainstream media coverage. Ask yourself this too: who is actually running this country? Do you honestly believe Joe Biden is in charge? Is the “deep state” a conspiracy theory, or is it a reality hiding in plain sight? Last night was a sad moment for our country to see a mentally debilitated President, but it can still catalyze positive change & open minds that were previously closed. Once you see it you can’t unsee it. For my own part, I will never fault a fellow citizen for coming to these conclusions “late.” It’s more valuable to unite around the truth than to gloat over who was right first. We’re all human, we’ve all been wrong & been misled before, but we are best off as a nation if we can openly admit it and improve in the future. We’ll have our opportunity to do that this November & beyond.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good... Grass-finished meat is awesome but grain-finished is better than a plant-based meat facsimile. Organic fruit (and vegetables?) is great but conventional plant foods can be washed and skin removed to lower pesticide residue.

Most people underestimate how terrible inflation is because 5-10% annual cuts to your spending power aren't so perceptible year on year... Something that cost $20 last year costs $21 this year and $23 next year. Inflation is tacitly accepted as something that 'needs' to exist but it does not need to exist. You should be able to store the earnings of your labour in money without it inevitably losing purchasing power over time. You shouldn't NEED to invest or gamble just to retain the value of your savings. Inflation is one of the worst forms of taxation, partly because most people don't even consider it a form of taxation. It's a stealth tax on your money that's already been taxed multiple times.

If I could only choose 4 habits to stay lean, build muscle, and maintain high energy, here’s what I would choose: 1) Walking 8,000 steps a day Everyone tells you to walk more to lose weight. But no one tells you why. It's simple: Take the example of running a mile vs. walking a mile. Both burn roughly 100 calories. The difference is, running is high impact, stressful, and increases your appetite. But walking is low impact, low stress, and can actually diminish appetite. You can also walk nearly anywhere at nearly anytime. - You can take work calls on walks - You can clear your head on walks - You can listen to podcasts on walks - You can catch up with friends on walks Numerous studies show people with consistent walking habits live longer, maintain healthier weights, and avoid disease at higher rates than those who live sedentary lifestyles. Walking is the highest ROI habit you can form. And it becomes more fun the more you do it. If you dread walking, I challenge you to to simply commit to a 5-10 minute walk outside. From there, keep increasing the time and the frequency until you fall in love with the habit. 2) 30-50g of animal protein each meal The easiest way to avoid overeating, keep blood sugar stable, and preserve muscle mass is to focus on protein with each meal. Of the three macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats), protein is the most satiating. Meaning it keeps you full longest. It's also the most thermogenic, meaning the body burns the most calories when digesting it. And as the protein helps you build muscle mass, your body burns more and more calories. But why animal protein specifically? Animal protein has a complete amino acid profile and is more bioavailable when compared to plant protein. Your body prefers and most easily digests protein from animal sources. If you want to get lean and stay lean, aim for 30-50g of animal protein each meal from - Fish - Eggs - Whey - Chicken - Grass-fed beef 3) Strength training 3x a week That protein needs a reason to go to work. You'll give it one with consistent stimulus from strength training. But you don't need to become a gym bro and be in the gym 10 hours a week to see results. You can build muscle in 2-3 hours a week focusing on: - Compound movements (think bench, row, squat, RDLs, presses) - Progressive overload (adding weight/ reps each session) - Staying focused on working to failure with each set 2-3 days a week -Tracking your workouts to allow you to accurately progress your lifts safely and with intent. Here's the cycle of how it works: - You tear down muscle through training - You recover with adequate rest and protein - Your body builds back more muscle than it had before As you add muscle, you get a boost in metabolism and burn more calories at rest. Sounds like a pretty good combo, right? 4) Limiting processed foods If you want to avoid obesity, chronic inflammation, and chronic disease, cutting out processed foods is the biggest lever to pull. But it goes deeper than that. Avoiding processed food rubs off on every area of your life: With less brain fog, you'll make better decisions and get better work done. With steadier energy, you'll be moe likely to hit the gym, take an extra walk, and be present with family. Each day you avoid processed food, your desire to eat it decreases, meaning it becomes easier and easier to eat healthy. And so each day you avoid processed foods, you become healthier and function better. Quick recap: 4 highest ROI habits for your health: - Walking - Strength training - Prioritizing protein - Limiting processed foods

The “normal” trap: Believing that what is common today is normal for humans. No, it is not normal to gain weight as you age. To be less mobile at 50 than 20. Or to struggle with fatigue, low libido or acid reflux. These are common, but they are not normal.

I'm 36. This is my honest advice for people in their 20s: 1. Make decisions your future self will thank you for, not resent you for. 2. Somebody you know and love is going to die within the next 10 years. It could even be you. So live accordingly.

And all year they keep telling me to my face on the court, “I didn’t see it” or “It wasn’t a foul”. It’s not making sense to me seriously! Frustrating as hell man! Anyways keep going Squad! 💜💛👑
This must be MUCH BIGGER STORY than it is. What NBA is basically doing, is 2 days in a row, altering their own definition of the rules, their own guidelines to tell the fans to “believe them” instead of our own eyes on Game Deciding Plays! How is this not a Huge Scandal? 🤨
