This past year, I played D1 Baseball ⚾️ for the last time.
- Earning my Masters (3.8 GPA) 🎓
- ERA of 1.9
- Showed up to every practice and game
- I was willing to do whatever job it took to WIN 🥇
And it doesn't always happen in a straight line.
🧵... (1/15)
About 12 hours of trying and I FINALLY got it.
For any baseball fans, please play @Stat_Soldier game: statsoldier.com/app/games/ro…
Ridiculously hard, but fun for an avid fan.
Here's the lineup I got that won it for me:
Not a single AL east or NL West team too.
@TheSkippersView put me on to it.
In the Super Bowl Era (Since 1970), the Pittsburgh Steelers hold the NFL record for most shutouts in a single season (5).
If AD comes out of retirement, I'd want to see that record broken.
Thoughts?
There’s no “right” way to swing. Only what’s right for the athlete.
James Wood (Aerial):
Light, bouncy jog → taller, extension-based swing → upper-half driven power
Murakami (Terrestrial):
Heavier, grounded jog → more flexion → hip-driven power
Both top 5 in HRs.
They just get there differently.
You can see it before they even swing.
The mistake?
Coaching what you think it should look like…
instead of what’s actually there.
How many hitters like Wood get told to “use their legs more”?
When someone doubts you, do the work quietly.
Loud egos trick the brain into thinking they're successful.
Positive Process creates Positive Results.
I've struggled with knowing success, find what works and stick to it.
- A former D1 Athlete
Compare to no one else except yourself
That's when you actually get better.
Everyone is too busy worrying about themselves to worry about you.
People notice when you put in the work, because they only care about your product.
So learn to produce.
Whats Next
To Athletes:
Seeking pleasure and results will disappoint.
Seeking possibilities will never.
Find new avenues to contribute to your surroundings. You'll find yourself in a position you couldn't have ever imagined.
Don't let your ego prevent you from becoming what you want.
As a former two time champion baseball player:
What's peaceful and positive for successful people look crazy and negative to those who are envious.
be successful and trust yourself

I remember being the D1 college athlete, on the bench, after a loss, thinking about how I could have been a difference maker.
I said to myself "If I got in..."

I've seen players at their worst, best, and everything in between. ♾️
Instead of focusing on the best, I want to focus on the CONSISTENT.
Greatness isn't having one moment, it's fulfilling what is needed EVERY TIME.
So it's time to ask yourself... WHATS NEXT? How can I do it NOW.
