The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, Monday, embarked on a last-minute campaign for the re-election of the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) governorship candidate, Governor @biodunaoyebanji, for a second term in office ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ekiti State. He told the people of the state that the joint ticket of Governor Oyebanji and his deputy, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye, is a ticket of balance, experience, and continuity that deserves renewal, noting that instead of a routine contest in Saturday’s governorship poll, Ekiti is standing at the gate of a larger Nigerian journey. Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, during the APC Grand Finale Mega Rally, Senator @KashimSM, who represented President @officialABAT, maintained that continuity for Governor Oyebanji is an investment in the peace, progress, and future of the state. Joined at the mega rally by APC governors, party leaders, National Assembly members, and ministers, among others, the Vice President said, “The task before you is simple, sacred, and historic. Go out and vote. Speak to your neighbours. Speak to your families. Speak to your wards, your unions, your communities, and your friends. Tell them that continuity in Ekiti is not a favour to one man. It is an investment in the peace, progress, and future of this state.

President @officialABAT has again charged the Nigerian judiciary to ensure swift, fair justice that is blind to a litigant’s status or tribe, insisting that a compromised legal system threatens democratic stability. Instead of widespread citizen frustration with prolonged case backlogs and slow adjudication, he maintained that the administration of justice must be both fair and swift so that the common man can have confidence in the judiciary as his last hope. Speaking on Monday in Abuja when he commissioned the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division building complex, Dakibiyu, the President, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM said the new appellate court building reinforces his Renewed Hope Agenda and his administration’s determination to give the operators of the nation’s justice system a befitting home. “To my Lords Justices, as you move into this complex, Nigeria asks one thing of you: let justice be swift. Let it be fair. Let it be blind to status, tribe, or purse. Let the common man feel that this Court is truly his last hope.”

The Federal Government is set to roll out 10,000 electric tricycles for use as part of a broad plan to ease public transportation across Nigeria. The tricycles will be distributed by the North East Development Commission (@NEDCOfficialNg) in August 2026 for use across the North-East region and beyond. The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, who disclosed this during a courtesy call by The Transporters For Tinubu/Shettima 2027, said the President @officialABAT, “has approved the replication of the initiative in other parts of the country by the various regional development commissions.” He noted that the priority of the administration of President @officialABAT is to move Nigeria from a fragmented transport system to an integrated logistics chain where ports, rail lines, CNG-powered trucks, inland waterways, airports and local feeder roads work together to support commerce, agriculture, industry and national integration. Senator @KashimSM explained that the Federal Government’s transport reform agenda is anchored on the nationwide rollout of Compressed Natural Gas, major port upgrades and a stronger logistics chain.

President @officialABAT has praised the former Head of State for continuing “to serve as a respected elder statesman, promoting peace, national unity, democratic stability, and responsible political engagement” through the National Peace Committee. He also directed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), @GovWike, to allocate a befitting parcel of land within the nation’s capital to build an office for the Abdulsalami Abubakar African Resource Centre (AAARC). The President stated this on Saturday in Abuja during the public presentation of three books, ‘A Call of Duty: My Autobiography’, ‘Nigeria’s Grand Patriot’, and ‘Mediating for Peace in Africa’, in honour of General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd). Eulogising the former Nigerian leader at the book launch, which coincided with his 84th birthday anniversary, President @officialABAT, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, described the presence of dignitaries from both home and abroad at the event as a fitting tribute to General Abubakar’s life. He justified why the AAARC deserves a befitting office in Abuja, saying, “The establishment of the Abdulsalami Abubakar African Resource Centre is a worthy initiative that aligns with the values General Abubakar has championed throughout his life. “In recognition of its importance, I hereby direct the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory to allocate a suitable parcel of land within the Federal Capital Territory for the development of the Centre and the advancement of its mission,” he directed.

Standards have dropped significantly. Below’s a fake Brigadier General that @officialEFCC arrested in 2022. Back when criminal impersonators put more diligence into their trade. Now it’s all anyhowness…… how can a fake General be looking like fake Man o’War?

Military sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspect was apprehended on Wednesday by troops of the 312 Artillery Regiment deployed at the Strike Force Base in Sabo area. The suspect was alleged to have been impersonating retired Major General A.T. Ibrahim. According to the sources, the arrest followed intelligence that led troops to the suspect at about 9:14 a.m. “The individual was arrested for allegedly impersonating Maj.-Gen. A.T. Ibrahim (rtd) and is currently in military custody undergoing preliminary investigation,” the source said. The sources added that the suspect would be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution after the completion of initial military procedures. Military authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the alleged impersonation or whether the suspect used the false identity to commit any offence. However, security agencies said investigations were ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case and determine whether other persons were involved.
