Earlier today, I joined Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and other dignitaries at the National Mosque, Abuja, for the funeral prayer of Hajiya Fatima Ladi Binta Musa Musawa, mother of the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa. Her passing is a painful loss to the Musawa family and all who knew her. We take solace in the legacy of faith, dignity, compassion, and service she leaves behind. The Federal Government of Nigeria and the World Intellectual Property Organization (@WIPO) have agreed to actively deepen collaboration to turn the nation’s intellectual property (IP) into tangible financial assets. The target is to commercialise research from Nigerian universities and support the creative economy through stronger technical cooperation, deeper institutional support, and expanded capacity-building, among others.
