82 years ago today, CWHM’s C-47 Dakota FZ692 was on a mission dropping troops behind the Normandy beaches in France.
It was one of over 600 aircraft that dropped 23,000 paratroopers including the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion supporting the D-Day landings. 1/3

11 years ago today Lancaster VR-A departed RAF Coningsby at the end of its 2 month tour.
The incredible behind-the-scenes Support Crew said goodbye to BBMF Lancaster ‘Thumper’ and finished up work for a couple more days before we headed back to 🇨🇦 too.
