Looks like great fun! Do they cater for Stag dos!? 🤔👀😂
Incredible footage of Ukrainian soldiers using a rifle to shoot Iranian Shahed 136 drones out the sky aboard a Soviet era Yak-52 training aircraft. Insanity…

Flying low level parallel, close to the shoreline in an aircraft is never a good idea for the reason shown in this video. To avoid bird strikes it’s better to fly above 2000ft. Although it looks in this video the pilot has been forced down by low cloud. facebook.com/reel/1102344358…

Or fly further away from the shoreline or cross the shoreline at an angle to minimise time where you will encounter higher densities of birds.

No. The short sleeve shirt and tie put a man on the moon and is found in most every airliner cockpit. America is an aerospace republic - and here we respect the short sleeve shirt and tie.

My brothers in Christ, wearing a tie with a short sleeve collared shirt should be ILLEGAL.

🚁 Flying a helicopter this low over the sea might look badass—but in reality, it’s a dumb way to operate in a high-threat maritime environment. Here’s why it’s tactically unsound, operationally risky, and basically asking to be shot down: 🧵
Avoiding radar but showing up on Sonar.

And if it’s not in an operational theatre, then it’s just an unnecessary dumb risk to take with the aircraft and the lives of others onboard—there is no margin for error.

There’s no point doing the enemy’s job for them and scoring an own goal. 🥅🚁💥 Thankfully for us, this looks like a Russian helicopter—so keep up the good work! It’ll save Ukraine some munitions having to shoot you down. 🇷🇺🎯🇺🇦

Fixed it for you. “Couple are forced to recover their own car….” It’s not stealing if it’s your property in the first place.

Sad to hear of the passing of Brian Shmoo Ellis - first @RoyalNavy pilot to destroy a jet in air combat, trainer of young Mariinefleiger pilots and CAA regulator. Great man whose passing is mourned @NavyWingsUK @faaoa

3 April 1933. A Westland PV-3 Wapiti and a Westland PV-6 Wallace became the first aeroplanes to fly over the top of Mount Everest, at 32,000 feet, to photograph the summit from above.

On this day in 1933, a Westland Wapiti and a Wallace, powered by the Bristol Pegasus, became the first to fly over Everest. A pioneering feat of aviation. I’ve been lucky to spend many hours flying behind a Pegasus in the Swordfish. @Leonardo_UK @LDO_Helicopters @NavyWingsUK
As good a time as any to repost this - a remarkable achievement for 1933 - and nowhere to set down in case of engine trouble. Failure was most definitely not an option. True pioneers.
