This is a simple parsimonious model to explain the evolution of lifespan extension by dietary restriction and other forms of stress that suppress fertility.

Selection within the ejaculate of men results in genetic changes in key genes involved in neurodevelopment, cell signalling and cell proliferation and that the 'fitter' sperm in an ejaculate exhibit reduced expression of biomarkers for neurodevelopmental disorders and cancers
