Nassar hid behind the respectability of his medical degree and his role as USA Gymnastics team doctor. After he abused young female athletes for 30 years, finally women came forward in droves to report the assaults. Those victims were attacked for months until there were too many to ignore. My coach hid behind his "coach" title, while claiming to keep athletes safe as a spotter, then molesting in plain view. Athletes were shamed into silence. Predators will exploit any opening to find, abuse and assault their victims.
