Packs in week 1 did more volume than our NFT marketplace last week. Let me share why i'm bullish and how this all fits within the @MagicEden future. In a couple of posts recently I alluded to Entertainment becoming the major focus for ME going forward. We have evolved over the years from a solana only NFT marketplace in 2021 to a broader onchain trading hub for NFTs and Tokens through our x-chain marketplace and wallet. The constant through line has been that Magic Eden is a place where users have come to speculate on cultural virality, rarity and hype. It is very clear to us that this desire to access a speculative playground is not only big, but it's going to get a lot bigger and underpin our cultural and financial norms. Gambling is no longer a vice. People want to speculate because it adds a layer of entertainment to our lives. Whether we like it or not, society is increasingly becoming optimized for this. So what for Magic Eden? We are explicitly leaning into it. Our bets and products will orient even more towards fun and entertainment. Packs was the first step.
