Pink October: Institut Pasteur de Dakar committed to women’s health!
As part of Pink October, the Institut Pasteur de Dakar (IPD) is strengthening its commitment to the prevention and fight against women’s cancers:
Free screening vouchers: On Tuesday, October 22, 2025, IPD donated 100 vouchers to LISCA in Dakar for the screening of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), the main risk factor for cervical cancer, and 50 additional vouchers were distributed in the Diourbel region (Touba and Mbacké).
Internal awareness: A Pink Day was observed earlier this month by all IPD staff.
Training and information: A Masterclass on women’s cancers is scheduled for Friday, October 31, to strengthen knowledge and share best practices.
These initiatives reflect IPD’s ongoing commitment to prevention, awareness, and access to screening, contributing to improving women’s health in Senegal.
