@pam3_oduor, Advocacy and Communications Officer, and
@Fahe_K, Communications Officer, represented
@rhnkorg at a civil society consultative meeting convened by
@KELINKenya under the
#UPR Right to Health Thematic Group. The meeting brought partners together to align efforts toward a rights-based, gender-transformative, and enabling health policy environment at national and county levels.
Participants reviewed Kenya’s 4th Cycle
#UPR Right to Health recommendations and developed a joint advocacy and communications plan to support coordinated implementation. The discussion strengthened CSO coordination and clarified shared priorities across health financing, SRHR, mental health, and HIV/TB, while agreeing on a unified communications approach to boost accountability and policy influence.
Next steps include validating the joint plan, engaging key government and rights institutions, strengthening communications coordination, and advancing joint resource mobilization efforts. This engagement reinforces the power of coordinated advocacy and strategic communication in advancing the right to health in Kenya.
