Great article. As we see DeFi continue to mature and better protect its users, circuit breakers and other rate limiters will become essential safeguards. This is evident as smart contracts become increasingly under pressure from advances in AI tooling. "Humans can't win this race. Multisigs and governance need coordination. Even the best security team needs time to diagnose, decide, and act. The only thing that moves at attacker speed is code that was already running. A mechanical circuit breaker is the simplest version of that. It doesn't need to understand the attack, identify the attacker, or wake anyone up. It just slows the rate at which value can leave, no matter who's asking, the moment outflows cross a pre-set line."

I’m excited to share that I’ve joined @voltcapital as Head of Trading & Infrastructure. Volt is a crypto-native venture capital firm backing founders who are reimagining financial and digital systems.
