My favorite underrated use case for local LLMs: translating legal documents securely while keeping sensitive information private. It’s still worth cross-checking since LLMs can hallucinate, but they’re usually very accurate.

I find light mode to be much more legible when I’m in a bright environment, and dark mode much more comfortable in dimly lit environments. I’m surprised to learn that I’m in the minority here and most people prefer dark mode 24/7/365

This means it has been 16 years since I tried to copy paste the chess game from my cousin’s new Windows 7 computer onto my old Windows XP computer hoping it would work. It obviously did not. As a child, I was devastated 😂

Google Photos is way better than Apple Photos for face based search. Apple often misses faces. For example 7 pics of me might only show 3 when I search by my face. Is it trying to pick the best? I want to see all of them. Google Photos shows everything even in very obscure shots.

I think I just realized something. @FFmpeg, is the logo supposed to be the zig-zag pattern used in ordering blocks of DCT-encoded pixels? Or something related to that?
