📞Your phone number is not “privacy.”📵 It’s a permanent identifier tied to you — your SIM 📶, your carrier, often your real-world identity. When a messaging app requires your phone number 📞, you’re linking your conversations to: 📞 Other accounts you’ve created 📞 Services that already have your number 📞 Carrier records 📞 Country restrictions and call routing controls 🌐 Your number can be blocked, traced, profiled, or connected across platforms. That’s not anonymous.🔏 That’s not private by design. 🔏 Real privacy starts with no personal identifiers required. #SpritzChat

Some apps add stickers. Some apps add contacts import. Some apps add another 50 settings nobody asked for. Spritz Chat 🍊 is focused on making messaging feel secure again. Simple. Fast. Private.

What's that number across the world?
Only 1 in 7 Britons fully understand how smart devices use their data. See full findings of the survey here: cnews.link/britons-smart-dev…

The world where your phone watches you before your messages are even encrypted is closer than you think. Trust shouldn't be assumed. It should be engineered. Protect yourself before it is too late. Anyone is for everyone.
BREAKING: The UK is drafting a law to scan every photo, video and message on every phone in the country. Tech CEOs who refuse to implement this could face up to 5 years in prison. The proposal would force companies to build device level scanners that inspect content before encryption. That means: • Every image scanned • Every message inspected • Every video analyzed All directly on your phone. Governments and companies pushing these safety” systems already have a terrible track record protecting user data. Last month, Europe’s new age verification app, promoted as a way to "keep children safe," was hacked in under 2 minutes. In another case, over 70,000 IDs and selfies linked to online verification systems were exposed in a major breach. Now the UK wants even deeper access directly inside your device. Once governments force surveillance tools into every phone, they can expand what gets monitored at any time.

Just because you have nothing to hide, does not mean that you have nothing to protect.

Popular messaging apps collect far more about you than just your messages. Some even share or sell user data to governments and third parties. People say, "I have nothing to hide" or "it's only metadata." But metadata is your life: who you talk to, when, where, how often, your habits, relationships, interests, and routines. Read this post by @naomibrockwell. Every message, contact, and interaction helps build a profile that the biggest messaging platforms can monetize and share. Privacy isn't about hiding wrongdoing—it's about keeping control of your own data.
The government isn't meant to search your things without a warrant. So they buy your data instead, and pretend that searching their own databases doesn't count. The 3rd-Party Doctrine needs to end. surveillanceaccountability.c…

Privacy isn't just about message content. It's also about who you're talking to, when you're talking, and how often. That's metadata. Most messaging apps collect it. Spritz Chat doesn't 🍊🍊🍊

Every week another company announces a security incident 🚩 Maybe the future isn't building bigger walls. Maybe it's building systems that give attackers less to steal. That's the idea behind Spritz Chat 🍊🍊🍊

Privacy connects, surveillance distances!
Privacy isn't anti-social. Surveillance is.

Würde das in DE passieren, würdest du durchdrehen.

Surveillance in messaging apps is abhorrent. That’s why Spritz Chat is built to be surveillance-free.

The uncomfortable truth: WhatsApp is not a private messaging app. It is a Meta product with encryption on the message layer and surveillance on every other layer. The message content is locked. Everything around it — who, when, where, how often — is a product being sold. If you want actual privacy: Use Signal. No metadata collection. No cloud backup by default. No parent company selling ads. Open source. Nonprofit. Built by people who don't profit from your conversations. The switch takes 3 minutes. RT this to everyone still texting sensitive things over WhatsApp thinking it disappears.

This is 💯
YOUR "DELETED" WHATSAPP MESSAGES AREN'T DELETED. Not from your phone. Not from their servers. Not from the person you sent them to. You hit delete. You saw "This message was deleted." It was already too late. Here's everything WhatsApp doesn't put in their ads. 🧵

Perfect example of how major phone companies can remove apps from app stores to comply with government demands. That’s exactly why Spritz🍊 is built as a decentralized PWA — no app store gatekeepers, no centralized shutdown switch, and no single company that can take it down.
Russia spent years promoting Max as a national alternative to WhatsApp and Telegram. Then Apple removed it from the App Store. The story isn't just about one messaging app. It's about the limits of digital sovereignty when access to users still depends on global technology platforms. #Russia #Apple #Technology #DigitalSovereignty

Pravda, Rusové mají v oblibě Apple, ale "mít problém" s takovým chování Apple mi u Rusů připadá podivné. Zbavili najednou Rusy možnosti přístupu k obvyklým službám u WhatsAppu, TLG, zakázali Facebook, Instagram a další a další služby, messengery atd. Nažerte se vlastní kaše.
