This week, the @ethereum community gathered in NYC for @ethconf and @ETHGlobal NY. I continue to be amazed at how they continue to support the industry and foster builders in the space. Congratulations to ETHGlobal for a successful first Ethconf. π
I made dozens of meaningful connections and forged partnerships that would otherwise be impossible to do remote.
I had great conversations and made plans to innovate with so many incredible teams, @Ledger, @arc, @bankrbot, @0xGroomLake, @o1_labs, @NYUBlockchain, Canteen and many many more...
Not including all of the amazing builders I met who were eager to support the work I do. This is priceless.
This is it. This is why we build and innovate. This is why Ethereum is strong.

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Agents continue to go off their rails. π¦
An autonomous agent ran up a $6,531 AWS bill this week. It was handed a real key with no spend cap and no expiry, then scanned IPv6 across DN42 until the egress charges bankrupted its operator.
Same failure mode as the $175K agent drain. The fix is not better prompting. The agent should never hold an unbounded key.
Scoped, value-capped credentials are the answer π
